Port Otago’s light vehicle fleet just got the upgrade of the century, with eight electric vehicles (EVs) now whizzing around the business, replacing their old, tired, petrol and diesel predecessors.
“While our light vehicle fleet’s emissions are relatively tiny compared to our other business activities, the change is a step in the right direction as we undertake our sustainability journey” said Port Otago Project Manager Jodi Taylor.
Auto Transform provided Port Otago with a custom fit-out for the LDV eNV80 vans to transport our team and ship crew safely across around the port. With the batteries under the chassis it’s not a simple drill and bolt system, it’s a unique bonded seat rail system which allowed the seats to be set up exactly where they were needed with extra leg and shoulder room.
