Driving and running it

It’s a 1.9-litre turbocharged diesel with a 7-speed automatic transmission, rear-wheel drive. The Extended Long Wheelbase (ELWB) is built around interior space rather than tight-city manoeuvrability — a fair trade when you’re carrying sixteen passengers and their luggage over longer distances. A Class 1 licence with a P endorsement covers paid passenger work.

The 1.9-litre diesel is efficient for a vehicle this size, which matters on long multi-day tours or high-mileage shuttle days. Cruise control makes open-road legs less tiring for drivers, and the 7-speed auto keeps the engine in its sweet spot so fuel use stays reasonable across a full shift.

A loaded 16-seater is long, and rear visibility drops off once passengers are on board. The parking sensors and reversing camera give the driver a clear view of what’s behind — useful every time you’re backing into a hotel forecourt, a cruise-terminal pickup bay, or a tight depot kerb. The floor is a fully bonded system — Timberline Bonafide wood-grain over vinyl automotive flooring and a 12 mm plywood underlay.
