Electric vehicles need a different fit-out approach. Weight costs an electric vehicle payload and range at the same time. Battery placement adds a further constraint. Batteries often sit under the floor, so standard screw-into-floor fixing isn’t always appropriate. We design every fit-out around payload, range and battery layout from the start.
Fitouts are installed to OE mounts and bonded tracking so they are not a permanent modification. On an electric vehicle, that’s a safety consideration as well as a design one. Bonded tracking means no drilling near the battery.
