How to untwist a 3 point seatbelt

Kishen explains how to untwist a 3 point seatbelt

A common issue with 3-point seatbelts is that the buckle works its way around and ends up sitting on the wrong side of the webbing. It looks like a bigger problem than it is — the fix takes about 30 seconds and doesn’t require any tools.

All you need to do is pull some belt out, fold it at 45° so it sits flat, then feed the fold through the buckle and slide the buckle back down. The belt will come out straight and the buckle will be back where it should be.

Watch the video below for a quick demonstration, and if the buckle still won’t sit correctly after untwisting, get in touch with our service team so we can check it over.

Video transcript: How to untwist a 3-point seatbelt

“This is a 3-point seat belt as it has 1, 2 and three points. The common issue with this is that the buckle gets twisted and ends up on the wrong side. To get it to the right side again is very easy.

All you need to do is pull out some belt, slide the buckle up, fold the belt at 45° flat, and slide the buckle all the way down, feeding the fold through the buckle. And there you have it, all back on the right side.”
