Summerset’s modern retirement communities are anything but retiring. Residents have a full range of activities available, including a programme of day trips and outings, where residents who use a wheelchair are fully catered for.
We fitted out an entire fleet of Mercedes Sprinter vehicles for Summerset that are used at their villages throughout New Zealand. All of them are equipped with an internally-fitted wheelchair hoist. In addition to permanent seating, we included two fixed bucket side seats, and a quick release seat to ensure each vehicle can carry its maximum number of passengers.
